Blog Action Day

I am supposed to write about environment in a week or so... fine with me. It is for Blog Action Day. If I can do something (in addition to strict recycling and compositing pile in my house) to save this planet from the most evil terrorists - humans - then I certainly can post something about Environment on October 15.

But what is striking is to realize how blogging (and web 2.0 in general) is changing for ever our society not just here in USA but all over the world ...

There are 5,414,281 people in the audience of what I assume must be this Google blogosphere .... 7 thousands some blogs ... and that's just this blog ... mostly English and Spanish blogs ... there are millions others ....

Kind of makes you appreciate any comment one gets ... after all ... who are you and what is so special about you to bring any of those 5 million?

So why am I and the other 7 thousands people writing? (same reason every day there must be at least a couple thousands new books published ... never know, someone may read it?)

Good question. I think it is relaxing, somewhat educational as it teaches you to put things in intelligent form .... a bit of a "hidden agenda" ... a bit of our ego ... or perhaps it is just because ... we can.
